Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank pairs local restaurants, cafeterias, and other food service companies with food safety-trained member agencies through our Community Table program to provide nutritious prepared meals to families in our community.
Meals provided through the Community Table program can be prepared from scratch or from excess in the day’s menu. Since the program began in 2009, Community Table has provided over 1.5 million meals to neighbors in need.
If you are a restaurant or food service company, here’s how it works:
- Prepare meals on a schedule that is right for you.
- Get matched with an agency in your community.
- Follow the donation guidelines provided by the Food Bank
- Pack the meals in labeled pans provided by the Food Bank and let food safety-trained agency staff handle the pickup.
