Starting in July 2022, our Drive-Up Distribution model will be changing!
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is excited to host a variety of Direct Distributions for the Three Rivers Region. We are now offering two distribution options: a drive-up where volunteers will pack your trunk while you stay in your car and a walk-in event that you can pick-up food indoors.
Drive-Up: Volunteers will assist with loading the trunks of vehicles with loose grocery items, directing traffic or registering vehicles within the distribution line. Drive-up distributions occur outside, rain or shine. Volunteers must be 15 years or older to participate.
Walk-up: These distributions will encourage community members to walk through a line of grocery items, and choose which items will suit them and their families best. Volunteers will help set up and tear down this market style event, register community members to receive food, and distribute the food directly to our guests. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate.
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes to participate. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
