On Saturday, May 7th, letter carriers in our area will collect financial contributions and non-perishable food donations to the Food Bank, along with regular mail pick-up and drop-off. Each year on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) “Stamp Out Hunger” National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation.

All food and funds collected stay right here in local communities. And this year’s drive couldn’t be more timely, as pantries, no-cost food markets, and meal sites throughout our region prepare for the challenging summer months.
