Hunger Action Month, traditionally recognized in September, is a time for communities across the country to come together and acknowledge the continued existence of hunger, to raise the voices of those who are experiencing hunger and to serve as a reminder that ending hunger requires all of us working together. Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, in partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania and Feeding America, is committed to addressing hunger and its root causes. Every day, volunteers, donors, partner organizations and advocates help ensure our neighbors have access to the food and resources they need to thrive. That collective effort is what makes our mission possible and allowed our organization to distribute nearly 54 million meals across 11 counties in fiscal year 2026.
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is proud to lead the way during this year’s Hunger Action Month and as these proclamations show our community is inspired to act as well.
