EMBRACE Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Steelers Huddle to end Hunger

Posted on December 13, 2020 by Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

EMBRACE Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Steelers are teaming up to fight hunger in the region. Through the Huddle to end Hunger campaign, EMBRACE, the Steelers, and UPMC are calling on Steeler Nation to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and help local families who struggle with food insecurity.

With every donation of $33 or more through the end of the year at GiveThanksPgh.com, donors will receive a special thank you: The Little Black and Gold Book of Gratitude. Filled with 33 gratitude quotes and reflections from Pittsburgh Steeler legends, the book also leaves room for donors to add their own personal reflections.

“As a city that sticks together, Huddle to end Hunger felt like right initiative at the right time,” said Cindy Citrone, founder of Citrone 33. “And, The Little Black and Gold Book of Gratitude is a great tool to think about what we have to be grateful for and how we can pay that gratitude forward. I have such appreciation for our partners who helped make the campaign and the book possible.”

“The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank has always had such an important role in our region,” said Art Rooney II, Steelers Team President. “We are proud to support EMBRACE Pittsburgh in this effort, especially at this time of year when we should all count our blessings and remember those in need.”
