Cambria County Area on Aging
The Area Agency on Aging provides the following services to eligible seniors:
- Adult Day Care
- Assessments to determine clinical eligibility for Medical Assistance payments for nursing home care, SeniorLife, and the Aging Waiver.
- Care Management
- Domiciliary Care –“Dom Care” homes provide supervised living arrangements in private, certified residences.
- Family Caregiver Support Program
- Foster Grandparents Program
- Guardianship & Representative Payee –The agency will serve as guardian, both person and estate, for incapacitated older adults, especially those who are indigent, abused, or exploited. The agency also serves as a representative payee for older adults who need assistance managing their bills.
- Health Insurance Counseling
- Home Delivered Meals
- Home Security Program
- Home Support
- Information & Assistance

- Personal Emergency Response System

- Reserve-A-Ride or Shared Ride transportation services are available by calling CamTran at 814-471-6601 or 1-800-252-3889 by 2:00 PM the day before a trip.
