Winter is a time when our community’s needs remain strong, even after the holiday season has passed. At the Food Bank, جنوري often brings a significant decrease in volunteer support, and this winter is no different. While the decorations come down and routines go back to normal, families still rely on us for consistent access to nutritious food, and volunteers are essential to making that happen.
We’re calling on our community to step forward. If you’re able to lend a hand in the coming weeks, your support would make an immediate and meaningful impact. Whether you’re sorting donations, packing boxes, or helping distribute food, every shift makes a meaningful difference. Right now, the Food Bank needs to fill around 300 volunteer shifts in The Market, the Food Bank’s onsite pantry, and needs additional volunteers at a number of community distributions – Washington, Kittanning, Johnstown, Aliquippa and Clairton. Your support helps us ensure we can meet the ongoing needs of our community, especially during the winter volunteer season.
