Friday, September 17 is Hunger Action Day – a day where efforts across the country are focused for greater hunger-fighting impact. It also happens that on this day, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (The Food Bank) is preparing to send almost 25,000 pounds of food and water to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank as the area experiences continued flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Nicholas.
