Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank serves 11 counties in the region, not including Westmoreland County, which functions as its own organization.
“We were part of Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank from 1982 until 2000,” said Jennifer Miller, CEO of Westmoreland County Food Bank. “Our area of the region is about the size of Delaware, so it made sense for us to be a standalone food bank.”
Westmoreland County Food Bank serves 7,000 families each month (18,000 people).
