Volunteers use their personal car and the app OnFleet to deliver food boxes from our Duquesne, PA warehouse, directly to community members’ doorstep. In this opportunity, individuals will deliver food to 6 – 10 households by following a convenient mapped out route. This program helps serve some of our most vulnerable population and is essential in our mission to provide greater access to food for all in need.
Deliveries are made various times throughout the week and will either leave from the Food Bank or one of our distribution sites. Volunteers can participate as an individual or with passengers in the car. All drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid Driver’s License.
For the safety and security of the individuals and families we serve, all Doorstep volunteers must complete free background check clearances and a Motor Vehicle Records Check authorization form provided by the Food Bank to participate. Individuals are able to volunteer for up to 30 days as a Doorstep Delivery driver before the clearances are due.
