To become a new Summer Food Service Program site and receive meals to serve to children in your community or your program, an organization must complete the application below.
This application must be completed in one sitting. Please allow 20-30 minutes to complete. If you have any questions, please contact the team at [email protected].
Applications submitted by MAY 15th will be considered for the upcoming summer. Applications submitted AFTER Mai will not be considered until next year. Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will consider applications from sites that can meet the following expectations:
- Expect to serve meals to at least 15 children per day
- Operate for a minimum of 15 days during the summer
- Have an identified meal service location and permission to operate there
- Have adequate staff/volunteers available during planned service dates/times
- Have designated contact responsible for operations and communications
- Ensure all staff/volunteers complete required training (See guidance)
- Ensure all staff/volunteers obtain required local and federal clearances (See guidance)
- Complete all onboarding requirements ten days prior to first day of operation (includes application, agreement, training, clearances, schedule, supply pick-up)
- Able to receive, review and respond to email communications no less than weekly prior to summer and within two business days during summer
