PITTSBURGH, PA (April 13, 2022) With the generous support of North Way Christian Community, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (the Food Bank) prepared an order to send to Ukraine today (4/13/22). This order is unique to the Food Bank since it will provide international disaster relief to families in crisis. Since the order is intended for families outside of the Food Bank service area, North Way Christian Community purchased the product which includes 5,000 pounds of emergency food and hygiene items. House of Prayer for All, a Slavic church in Pittsburgh, is working with North Way to ship all emergency items to refugees in Ukraine.
