Starting this fall, we’re launching a new passcard system!
A Passcard is a small, scannable plastic card, easily attached to a keychain. With the new Passcards, families will no longer need to pre-register for food distributions.
“We wanted to create something that would make it easy for the families we serve to access our distribution events without having to fill out monthly paperwork. A Passcard will help someone attending a Food Bank distribution simply scan their card and pick up their food when it is their turn in line,” said Director of Partner Network and Distribution Programs Erin Kelly.
Paperwork is necessary for the Food Bank to stay in compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Rules and Regulations. With the new Passcards, the Food Bank can record an individual’s visit quickly and accurately.
How can I get a Passcard?
You can pick up a Passcard at the distribution where you originally completed the self-declaration of need form. If the card isn’t picked up at next month’s distribution, staff will mail the card. New families who register for a Passcard at their first distribution visit will receive their card a month after their registration date.

I have a passcard. There are several food distribution locations close to me. Is there a limit how many I can go to in a month?
Hello Willie, you can attend as many food distributions as you’d need each month! Some of our food pantries do have limits and the Market has a twice/month limit. But as far as walk-in & drive-up food distributions go, you’re welcome to attend as many as you’d want. 🙂
