This December, we’re inviting you to participate in 31-Day Giving Challenge for a simple way to help our neighbors in need this holiday season.
We’re all experiencing rising prices at the store and are anticipating increased holiday, utility and healthcare costs during the winter months. Add all this to the ongoing pandemic and families are struggling to make ends meet.
One of our neighbors recently shared the struggle she faces making ends meet. “Usually, one of the first things to go is my medications. The bad thing is, two of the medications I may not buy are to prevent seizures.”
To get started, just grab a box, container, or other storage bin. Add one food item to your box each day and by the end of the month, you’ll have an entire box of healthy food and other grocery items that families need most. Personalize your box by adding some of your favorite, shelf-stable foods.
When delivering your donation to the Food Bank. (at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. on December 31st), you’ll be able to tour our facility and get an inside look at how we serve our community and the impact your donation makes. Can’t make it during those times? Just give us a call and let us know when you would like to come so we can thank you for your support!
Want more ways to get involved? You can volunteer with us to have a hands-on impact in our community or host a food drive to bring your family and friends together for a day of giving!
