Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is expanding its operations with packing emergency food boxes.
Beginning on Monday, April 20, the Monroeville Convention Center will be used as a closed facility to pack boxes. Only Food Bank staff and The PA National Guard will have access to this facility. This will help the Food Bank pack more boxes each day and provide food to more individuals in need.
We thank Oxford Development Co. for donating the facility for use, along with Visit Monroeville and UPMC for financial support.
Food will only be packed, and not distributed, at this site. If you are in need of food assistance, please click here for more information on finding a food pantry near you, getting school meals for kids or applying for SNAP (food stamps) assistance.
