In Memory of Yvonne Zanos
KD Turkey Fund 2010
With great sadness we mourn the passing of our KD Turkey Fund champion and great friend Yvonne Zanos of KDKA-TV2.
During the 7 years Yvonne served as spokesperson for the KD Turkey Fund, she was responsible for raising around $3.4 million dollars, every cent of which was distributed to families that were struggling to make ends meet so that they could still have a holiday meal.
In its 28 years, the KD Turkey Fund has raised an astounding $11, 794,154.70.
Beyond her role as spokesperson for the KD Turkey Fund, Yvonne was a devoted friend and volunteer, and will be sorely missed by every person she touched at the Food Bank and beyond.
Yvonne's family has asked that those who wish to honor her memory and continue her great work make a donation to the Turkey Fund. We are humbled by the request and will always cherish her friendship and support.
