Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Darden Restaurants Partner to Provide and Distribute Food to Southwestern Pennsylvania
Grant is one of more than 850 awarded through Darden’s 2nd annual Restaurant Community Grants program

WHAT: A $13,000 check presentation and volunteer event to recognize Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Team members from 13 local Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and Bahama Breeze restaurants will volunteer at the Food Bank warehouse following a check presentation of the $13,000 Darden Restaurants Community Grant to Food Bank Chief Operating Officer Laura Randolph.

The Darden Restaurants Community Grants program from the Darden Foundation, now in its second year, empowers its employees in each restaurant to help award a $1,000 grant to support local community programs. The $13,000 donation will enable Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank to continue distributing around 27 million pounds of food per year. Over 32 years, the Food Bank has distributed more than 300 million pounds of food to 11 counties in southwestern Pennsylvania.
