Pennsylvania Food Banks Join Together to Kick Off Feeding Pennsylvania
A non-profit resource for PA food banks to reduce hunger and food insecurity across the Commonwealth

WHAT: Food banks from across the state of Pennsylvania will join together with Senator Bob Casey (D-Pa) to launch Feeding Pennsylvania, a consortium of Pennsylvania food banks that are working to reduce hunger and food insecurity statewide.

There are an estimated 1.8 million food insecure people in Pennsylvania according to Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap study. Feeding Pennsylvania is a partnership formed among Pennsylvania’s Feeding America member food banks. The collective effort promotes and aids members in securing food and other resources to reduce hunger and food insecurity in their communities and across Pennsylvania, and provides a shared voice on the issues of hunger and food access within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

About Feeding Pennsylvania
Feeding Pennsylvania is a collaborative effort of nine Feeding America-affiliated food banks in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The mission of Feeding Pennsylvania is to promote and aid our member food banks in securing food and other resources to reduce hunger and food insecurity in their communities and across Pennsylvania.
