Recipe Rainbow Makes Finding Recipes Easy as 1-2-3
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank has a great new way to find recipes that use the ingredients you have on-hand! Our Recipe Rainbow database makes finding recipes easy and fun. Just follow these simple steps:
- Visit Recipe Rainbow at www.pittsburghfoodbank.org/recipedatabase and choose the ingredients you want to cook with. Select as many ingredients as you want to use, and the database will generate a list of recipes using any of those ingredients, and rank them in order by how many of the ingredients you selected are used in each recipe.
- Click on a recipe name to see the whole recipe.
- Download a PDF so you can easily print the recipe and add it to your file.
Every recipe has a nutrition facts label and has been ranked according to our Choose Healthy Options Program (CHOP), so all are recipes that you can feel comfortable preparing for your family.
With more than 200 recipes available that draw from a list of 250 ingredients, this is a web page you’ll want to visit again and again!
